Starting today, Wednesday the 10th of February, when you're shopping for that perfect Valentine's gift for your sweetheart at Art In The Age, you can have a complimentary taste of my ROOT 'n Red Velvet Cake! I've also been making these cake at A Full Plate Cafe and will continue to keep it in stock through Valentine's Day.
I whipped up a bunch of these bite-sized liquor-infused cakes for Art in the Age and decorated each of them with a special Valentine's Day touch.
Sip on a Vanilla ROOT Fizz, also on the house, to wash down your cupcake. In addition to the free drink and cupcake, Art in the Age is offering FREE gift wrapping on all purchases and 20-40% off items storewide.
I know it's snowpocalyspe out there today, but if you're off work why not head down to Art in the Age for a little love?

Whoopie Pies that is. I'm determined to give cupcakes a run for their money. Cupcakes are out and Whoopies are in. Especially if those whoopies are made by your very own Baker E!
The concept is simple: Two soft, cake-like cookies surround a luscious cream filling. But the possibilities are endless in terms of flavor combinations. Above you see the innards of a Cookies 'n Cream Whoopie.
Sweet buttermilk and a hint of cocoa are what make the Red Velvet Whoopies so special, and you can almost always pick one up at Green Aisle Grocery.
And there isn't a thing wrong with the classic whoopie, this is the type of whoopie pie I grew up on, but I've added premium vanilla to the cookies and real vanilla beans to the billowy filling.
You know you want one, so visit A Full Plate or Home Slice Pizzeria if your in the Northern Liberties section of Philadelphia or Green Aisle Grocery on E. Passyunk to get your Whoopie on.
